Change Happens
We have to risk life to get into life then it takes on colour, otherwise we might as well read a book
Carl. G. Jung

About Adam McLean

“Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful it is threatening, because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better.”
- King Whitney Junior

Personal Testament

Having been trained in the traditional talking therapies I came to realise that this was not enough for my clients. I became interested in Sandplay, body and energy work, which allowed me to work more holistically in my approach. I saw results with my clients happen quickly and effectively, and witnessed change happening that is exciting and rewarding to be witness to.

It is my intention when I work with you that, you will walk away with a sense of achievement having learned something that is significant, challenging and life changing and that life can really be exciting.

An essential part of my own work required me to explore entrenched beliefs and fears that I ferociously held on to. They held me back and prevented me from moving forward. Despite having done a lot of personal development courses and therapy, I seemed to end back at these self limiting beliefs and values. As with the old analogy of an onion having many layers or coats of protection, so do we. Our layers protect the essence of who we are. Some of these layers are known as defence mechanisms. These defences get in the way of personal growth and change. Working through them requires commitment and a desire for change to happen. This can be liberating and life changing. Exploring and changing long held beliefs involves the connection between the body, mind, soul and spirit. I believe real change happens when you work in a holistic level, connecting all the parts of who you are and can be. I'm really glad that I took those steps to make change happen for me. I look forward to working with you as part of your journey of change.
